Bug Letter Sounds Instructions
First, print the Bug Animals Letter Sound Pack. This can be found at the end of this post. Simply click the DOWNLOAD NOW button.
Second, cut the puzzles. If you want your child to have some extra fine motor practice, have them help you cut out the puzzles.
Third, separate the cards. Letter object in one pile and the letter itself in another pile.
Fourth, grab the mini bugs and set them up in a container or on a tray.
How To Change It Up
If your child gets overwhelmed by all the cards, simply do 5 or 6 at a time.
You can also use magnetic letters and have your child match the first half of the puzzle with the image.
If you are working with a group of children, you may want to divide the 26 puzzles amongst them. You may also want to either print extra copies of the puzzles and allow each group to either match the letter to the object
a) match the letter to the object portion of the puzzle
b) match the letter portion of the puzzle to an object that starts with that sound.
