Desert Animal Fine Motor Cut and Paste Sort

Looking for a fun desert animal fine motor activity? My daughter loves learning about animal facts and then telling them to me. One of her favorite sets of animals (besides rainforest animals is desert animals. Being the mommy that I am, I wanted to see how much she knew about where animals live.

I also wanted to help her work on her fine motor skills and so I created this fun Desert Animal Cut and Paste Sort for her.

Using the Desert Animal Fine Motor Cut and Paste Pack

Step 1 Printing the Desert Animal Fine Motor Pack

Print both the board game (main sorting page) as well as the animals. You can also choose to print this on cardstock if your printer allows it.

Step 2 Cutting

Cut out the animals and have your child identify them.

Step 3 Discussion

Let them tell you as much as they can and be sure to see if they know where they live. Also, see if they can identify any desert animals prior to showing them the images.

Step 4 Sorting

Have them sort the desert animals under the two categories: lives in the desert and do not live in the desert.

Step 5 Gluing

Once sorted, they can glue the animals in their respective sections.

Your kids will have fun with this free desert animal cut and paste sorting that will help them sort animals but improve fine motor skills as well.
