How many forest animals can you name in 10 seconds? Does your preschooler or kindergartner have a favourite animal? J loves bears and fortunately for her, we live in an area of Canada that has them abundantly. Today I will be sharing with you our forest animals cvc words printable and I hope that your kids will enjoy them.
J loved her forest animals movable scene printable that I made her for free play and so I decided to use this to create a quick cvc game that she can use to review her cvc words. I was inspired by this Gingerbread House CVCE printable by Kim from Life Over C’s and came up with this:
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE CVC WORDS PRINTABLE
- cardstock paper
- forest animals cvc words printable(provided below)
- laminating sheets or protective sleeves
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CVC WORDS PRINTABLE
FIRST print the game board on cardstock and laminate if possible. If you cannot laminate it, simply place it into a protective sheet in order to reduce any damages.
SECOND print all the cvc cards on both sides of cardstock paper and create a stack.
THIRD print all the alphabet cards- there are 2 extra cards b and p.
FOURTH allow your student to choose a card from the cvc pile and place it on the box in the bottom left corner of the game board. Once they have read the card, they now have to:
- say the word out loud
- segment the word
- spell the word with their alphabet cards in the 3 boxes provided.
