It all started with a fantastic idea. I wanted to expose my children to as many forest animals as possible and have fun while learning. Unfortunately, I did not have half the tools needed to create my fantastic idea.
This led me to think of an alternative- what could I do that was not as awesome but good enough that they would still want to play and learn with our forest animals preschool theme?
What did I create? A movable scene printable that was cheap, simple, and educational- a big win.
To prepare this activity you will need a few things:
- Velcro dots or Fun Tak
- laminating sheets or a protective sheet
- cardstock (to print your scene and animals on)
- scissors or stencil knife
- Forest Animals Scene printable pack
First print your forest animals printable on cardstock. This pack includes the scene itself as well as a collection of 20 animals.
Second, cut out the animals with either a pair of scissors or a stencil knife.
Third, either laminate your scene or slip it into a protective sheet for durability.
Fourth, add either a Velcro Dot or a small ball of Fun Tak to the back of your animals
Fifth, allow your child to move them wherever they see fit.
I love providing my printables for free in hopes that your kiddos will love them as much as mine do. Please note that if you do download anything from my site, that you are agreeing to my terms of use and all the other legalities (privacy policy and disclosure policy) that are in place. I am all for sharing but please share the link to this post so that they can download their own copy. Do NOT share the link to the printables themselves. Thanks for walking with me!
