Great Additions to the Preschool Camping Theme Printables and Other Camping Preschool Activities
If you are looking for a great way to boost summer learning then try the following suggestions with our free camping worksheets.
1) Create a felt hiking map.
Have your kids create a map of an area they know well on paper. Then have them cut it out on the felt. If they are not able to cut it out, cut the felt for them and then have them decorate it.
2) Add a few fun camping games to the mix.
Introduce fun games such as Jenga, Uno, or even cornhole if you have it. You can even have a scavenger hunt and involve your older kids. Don’t forget to include a fun interactive game of camp charades!
3) Morning Work
Feel free to use these sheets to introduce the theme in your morning time or circle time.
4) Extra Practice
Use these free printable camping activity sheets as a part of your child’s summer activities. Even a page or 2 per day helps.
5) Vocabulary
Explore all the different camping words such as the bonfire, canteen, and compass. Also, add a camping-themed picture or two to your vocabulary lessons.
6) Color Words
Have your young learners list out all the colors that would find on a camping trip. See if you can have them describe what they come up with.
7) Presentation
Have your little kids describe their camping experiences. See if there are any common camping experiences among them.
8) Crafts
Create a few camping crafts. Simply search Google or Pinterest for easy camping crafts for your kids.
9) Plan a family camping trip
