Have you read the Gingerbread Man lately to your kids or students? I recently purchased the book and my kids love it. My son C is always hiding in his room with the book so that he can have it all to himself and my daughter J and I love singing,
“Run run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man!”
J is still in constant review mode and so I made her a set of gingerbread man cvc words for kindergarten worksheets. For those of you unfamiliar with the term cvc it simply means words that are formed with a consonant vowel consonant pattern such as cat and map. This Gingerbread Man printable is very similar to our Winter CVC Words Worksheet that I created recently.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CVC WORDS WORKSHEET
FIRST print the game board on cardstock and laminate if possible. If you cannot laminate it, simply place it into a protective sheet in order to reduce any damages.
SECOND print all the cvc cards on both sides of cardstock paper and create a stack.
THIRD print all the alphabet cards- there are 2 extra cards b and p.
FOURTH allow your student to choose a card from the cvc pile and place it on the box in the bottom left corner of the game board. Once they have read the card, they now have to:
- say the word out loud
- segment the word
- spell the word with their alphabet cards in the 3 boxes provided.
