We have had a crazy couple of weeks but thankfully, ITS THE WEEKEND!!! What did we do these past two weeks in J School? Well walk with me and I shall show you.
We rowed(read)Jessie Bear What Will You Wear for two weeks because J loved it that much. We learnt about emotions and signs of love.
Jessie Bear and his parents are hugging because they love each other. Mommy and Daddy love you and that’s why we hug you and kiss you. When you love someone you hug or kiss them.
We did Art (fancy name for colouring) courtesy of homeschoolshare
We played with a Jessie Bear cutout and spoke about what to wear at different times.
What do we wear when it rains? What is Jessie bear wearing?
We did an item search and listening skills while we read. I would simply ask questions such as:
Where is the towel? How many towels are there in the bathroom? What colour are they?
We worked on fine motor skills throughout the week by using 2 Kumon books which have become our favourite: Let’s Cut Paper! (Kumon First Steps Workbooks)(J loves being able to have her own pair of scissors) and Wipe Clean Workbook Tracing and Pen Control (Wipe Clean Workbooks).
We also did matching of upper and lower case letters that were on paper socks and the best part of rowing Jessie Bear What Will You Wear was the impromptu book that we made called J Bear.
Once again, I think J School was a success. J learnt and played to her heart’s content and mommy was able to see through her daughter’s eyes. What more could I ask for?
