Math is tough for a lot of parents to teach their children. But number learning can be fun and exciting for your homschool family. In our homeschool, my children work through hands on lessons and have fun learning with fun and simple worksheets.
Our favourite hands on lessons like Shape Sand Tray and lacing work really solidifies your child’s hand strength and beginning math skills! And don’t forget playdough math! Use these along with our printables to have fun learning at your fingertips.
Did you know that printables can also help develop a variety of skills? No, I am serious. Some of these are:
- hand eye co-ordination
- 1 to 1 correspondence
- fine motor skills (think lacing cards and tracing lines)
- number recognition
Quite frankly, as a homeschooling teacher, I believe that having access to worksheets is a fantastic resource. Not only can worksheets and activities be themed so that you can use them in whatever theme you are doing, they are so easy to duplicate for the number of students that need them. Take them to your next homeschool co-op or make duplicates for all the children in your home. Simple as that!
I hope by collecting all of our wonderful activities and printables that focus on math on one page you can explore and fine what works best for your homeschool and family!
