I love the different seasons we experience here in Canada, yes I even love the winter. Growing up in Jamaica we had simply hot and not so hot, in other words we had no seasons. Did you know that seasons aren’t actually marked by the earth going around the sun but instead by the angle at which it is tilted?
The different seasons allow us to get really creative in how we plan and they also enable both homeschoolers and teachers to max out the fun- or at least try to make every lesson as fun as possible. With winter, you can do a winter nature walk and see what animals have not hibernated as yet. For spring you can teach the butterfly life cycle by using playdough! There are so many season activities with printables that can be done.
