USING YOUR Stay at Home Mom Daily Schedule TEMPLATE STEP 1: Create a night routine you’ll love
I’m pretty sure it was a very wise and sleep-deprived mom that said “A great day starts from the night before” Preparing for the day starts by doing one major thing that we as moms take for granted. SLEEP.
I can’t tell you how many times in the past that I wished that sleep was an option. Man! All the things I would accomplish! Sadly, we need sleep so why not prepare for it?
Okay, time for some facts. Most adults need an average of 7 to 9 hours. Yes, moms are adults too so this includes you. Did you know that sleeping doesn’t only stop us from snapping at our husbands for breathing weird?
According to WebMD, sleeping also helps us keep our brain sharper, makes our heart healthier and helps with weight loss. Since its so important, let’s welcome sleep like the friend we truly need.
The first step to creating a nighttime routine is to create a bedtime. What time do you want to go to bed? Grab the free stay-at-home mom daily schedule template below to help. Write down your preferred bedtime and remember to block off 7 to 9 hours of sleep.
Once you have your bedtime time written down, what will you do to prepare for sleep? Write that down as well. If you would love a step-by-step workbook then check out Master Your Time. It includes a play-by-play workbook as well as several planning sheets.
USING YOUR Stay at home mom schedule TEMPLATE Step 2: List Your Important Daily Events
Now it’s time to list out all the events that must take place daily. A few events to add to your stay at home mom daily schedule printable are:
- homeschooling
- play dates
- meals
- meal prep
- outside commitments (such as sporting activities and church)
If you aren’t sure of the events that take place in your day, then take a day or two to see what you must get done daily and jot them down. Once you’ve listed these, its time to move on to STEP 3.
USING YOUR STAY AT HOME MOM SCHEDULE TEMPLATE STEP 3: give your events a time
Now that we are clear about all the things that MUST be done daily, we need to figure out when to do them!
The list we created in STEP 2 will only be scribblings on paper if you choose to stop there. Grab your free stay at home mom daily schedule template from the freebie below and let’s get to work.
With your handy SAHM daily schedule printable in hand, assign a time slot to all your events. For example, if you tend to homeschool for 2 hours per day and start around 10, then block off 10 am to 12:30 pm. Always budget more time than you think you need.
USING YOUR STAY AT HOME MOM SCHEDULE TEMPLATE STEP 4: FINDING TIME FOR YOURSELF
We are now at the best part! We now get to see what our days truly look like and can start time-hunting.
Look at your SAHM daily schedule printable and see all the gaps. Which gap seems the most suitable for YOUR downtime? Block that off and safeguard it.
If you would love time for yourself in the morning then find a slot in the a.m and block it off. If you are a night owl simply find a slot in the night that doesn’t compromise STEP 1.
We did it! We used the free stay at home mom daily schedule template to find time for ourselves in the day! Woo hoo!! Now for the hard part- what to do with that free time!
