Today’s post is about the top 10 things that aided in making the homeschool year a success for a group of 100 moms. As a newbie homeschooling mommy (yes I understand most people think that homeschooling does not start until my child is 6 or 7 and J is only 2.5) I always want to know the top 10 lists of anything to do with homeschooling are. Whether it is the Top 10 Math, English, Modern Language, Preschool curricula etc. I want to know.

10. Stationary
This included items such as paper (cardstock and regular ) as well as pencils, pens, erasers and crayons
9. Library and Library Resources
The library and its resources such as borrowing e-books and dvds was number 9 on our list. This is a huge bonus if you are doing a literature based curriculum such as Before Five In A Row (BFIAR). Simply gather your list of books needed and order them for the weeks that you are rowing.
8. Curriculum
All the moms stated that curricula was on their must have list, whether it was free or paid.
7. Computer/ Internet/ e-Readers and I-Pads
We live in a digital age and access to the internet is essential. These tools allow you to supplement your child’s learning, whether it be through videos or apps.
6. Printer Ink and Printer
Clearly this is an essential. There is never such a thing as FREE preschooling as there is always something you have to print. In our home we use blankdvdmedia for our ink and our top choice for printers is the Epson NX530. I love the fact that it is simple enough for me to use and its an air printer which means I can print from my I-phone or I-pad!! I never have to leave my bed. BONUS!
5. Homeschool Group/ Co-op
4. White Board and Markers
This item seemed to be quite popular as it helped to decrease the amount of paper that was used in everyday schooling.
3. Netflix / Youtube
2. God
1. Amazon
Honourable Top 10 Mentions
- a vehicle
- a planner
- alcohol (yes people said alcohol)

Amazon is really important! ;)
I understand what you mean about starting to homeschool so early. I started when my son was 2 as well, so when people ask me how long I've been homeschooling I feel like it's been a long time, but he's only 5 this year. lol

What a fun list-- I think I have used most of those except the white board and markers. I did school a bit without a printer/copier and it was a challenge. I was at Staples quite a bit.
