Winter can be such a fantastic time of the year when all the right measures are taken- boots, mittens and more. Using a winter theme for learning can be equally as fun. My kids are anxiously looking forward to the winter season so that they can play in the snow as well as snow tubing down our hill. Seeing that we love winter so much, it was only right to create a few kindergarten worksheets for my daughter to use. Today I will share our winter cvc words worksheet with you.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE CVC WORDS WORKSHEET
- cardstock paper
- forest animals cvc words printable(provided below)
- laminating sheets or protective sleeves
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CVC WORDS WORKSHEET
FIRST print the game board on cardstock and laminate if possible. If you cannot laminate it, simply place it into a protective sheet in order to reduce any damages.
SECOND print all the cvc cards on both sides of cardstock paper and create a stack.
THIRD print all the alphabet cards- there are 2 extra cards b and p.
FOURTH allow your student to choose a card from the cvc pile and place it on the box in the bottom left corner of the game board. Once they have read the card, they now have to:
- say the word out loud
- segment the word
- spell the word with their alphabet cards in the 3 boxes provided.
